Updates - 10th April 2006
Well, time to unleash another hella-big load of updates.
Global Mutual
As you may or may not have noticed, Global Mutual have been down. They were the victims of Joe Jobbing (spam attacks.) The site is back now (in some places) as Gordon acquired a new server, but most people are still having problems logging in. Have no fear, it should be resolved soon.
NeverendingStori
Now time for some kick ass Nes news - during the downtime, people are still getting paid. That is, to their E-currency account, so I'm talking about real payments here. Or at least, those I've spoken to have! Can't vouch for everyone... but the wheels are definitely still turning.
ADDENDUM: Most people I have spoken to now haven't been paid during the down time. This makes sense to me as the actual site/server/script which performs the payouts hasn't been online so I don't know how some HAVE been getting paid!
Which brings us to Autosurf News. There's been a few updates from the big guys over the past few days:
PhoenixSurf
A basic quick update. No explanation needed!
"This has been an incredible week for everyone here at NME. As you know, we have successfully launched two more sites/programs (NMEGlobal.com and jointhemillion.com). Both of these sites are doing extremely well and all we ask is that our members (you) keep up the good work!
Just a friendly reminder, please remember to keep your egold account information private and secure. We have been notified by some of our members that their egold account shave been hacked. Unfortunately, we can do nothing about this as it is egold's jurisdiction. Please remember to use the SRK button when logging in and change your password on a weekly basis. Also, we highly recommend that you use the IP verification feature as well.
As always, we will be sending out an update email tomorrow (Sunday). This update will outline all of the exciting updates that our members can look forward to in the near future!
Together in Success,
NME"
And here's a longer update from today, which is still pretty obvious so I won't say too much about it.
"As promised, this e-mail will serve as the weekly update! WE have a lot of exciting announcements to make, so please read this e-mail in its entirety.
Advertising
We have finalized the plans for our new advertising platform. For all of those who have been waiting to advertise on the Phoenix Homepage, Back Office and Forum, you will now be able to place your advertisements on these prime locations. We are finalizing things from a scripting standpoint, and we will type detailed instructions for our members as soon as we make this advertising available in approximately one week.
Credits
We have eliminated the credit-bug that was not allowing our members to receive the appropriate amount of credits per advertising package purchase. As everyone knows, when you purchase an $8 advertising package, you receive one credit for your website. We are aware that some of our members did not receive credits on this ratio during the month of March. Because of this, we have increased the monthly credit bonus for April to 1,000 credits. We are aware that some members purchased less than this, and some purchased more, but we feel as if this is a good compromise. Remember the bug has been fixed, so please do not forget to allocate your credits!
Sites in Rotation
We have been informed that some of our members are displaying sites with embedded malicious coding. We will be performing random system audits in which we will test each site for malicious coding. If a site is found to be in violation of our terms, we will delete the site and the member's account who owns this site. If you are advertising a site in violation, this is your one chance to remove it from our surf rotation. This measure is meant to protect our members who would use Phoenix as a legitimate advertising and income medium.
E-gold Security
Please protect your e-gold account! We are aware that there are programs out there that enable hackers to get into e-gold accounts. We are rapidly approaching the launch of our own payment solution, but in the mean time, please be sure to take the following precautions:
1. Do not keep too much money in your e-gold account
2. Do not announce your e-gold account number in any forum
3. Install Firewall and Password Protection software such as ZoneAlarm and RoboForm
4. Apply 20 or more characters to your passphrase and change it regularly.
5. Please do not use Internet Explorer for Phoenixsurf. Please download Mozilla Firefox by going to www.mozilla.com
Other Sites in the NME Network
As all of you know, we have successfully launched our new NME Global site and our pixel site, Jointhemillion.com. Both sites are doing extremely well and we will be working this week to eliminate all final bugs and adding many features that our membership base has requested. Please contact your Referrer/Sponsor for their link. We will be opening the doors to the general public for both of these programs starting this Tuesday, April 11. Secure your position now!
Rumors
There have been a lot of sites appearing all over the internet that claim to be endorsed by NME or built by NME. We understand that many people are trying to capitalize on our name and our reputation for honesty and results, but we will always inform you here if we are going to launch a new program/company. However, there have been rumors about us holding a National Convention and launching an Auction Site. We are proud to announce that both of these rumors are in fact true, and we will be sending our more updates regarding this in the near future."
Interesting about the auction site. Could be another legitimate revenue spinner for PS. They are definitely one step ahead of what 12 Daily Pro ever were!
Compact Surfing
"We have completed all payments in a timely fashion, and no cashout request was left pending for more than 24 hours.
We want to inform you we are soon going to expand our team by hiring 3 more people to join our staff so that we can offer our members much greater support. Yesterday, we decided to implement the idea of optimizing the efficiency of our support center and staff, so that we can be able to handle all of your requests, issues, questions and concerns quickly. Also, to ensure that your payment is always on time please do the following:
1) Log in your Compact Surfing account.
2) Click on "Edit Account Details" within the main page, check to make sure your e-gold number is there. If not please contact our support department.
We would like to add something about the option to upgrades via E-bullion. After the poll we have started in our forum and the votes we got declaring that they want e-bullion as upgrade option we are going to add it in several days when our programmers are able to implement it into the script. They are currently working to optimizing the script so that it can work smoothly and without problems even if we have 50,000-100,000 members. We have recieved questions in regards to whether or not we will be able to handle all payments and send them within hours even if we have big membership base. The answer is yes! We can do it because we are managing our efficiency and are dedicating seven days a week to our members, as we have proven to all of you in the last few months. We promise that we will keep paying as fast as usual (usually within 48 hours of request) and don?t forget, Fast Payments without extra withdrawal fees are the Compact Surfing Trade Mark, and we will live up to this expectation.
Tomorrow we will send new updates on how we plan to address current issues brought up by CS members in the very near future. Expect more information to come on the following:
1. All members who upgrade after they surf and try to surf again will be credited for the not-credited second upgrade.
2. Three Cashout Request Standard for all members per calendar month. For those of you who have asked for more cashouts, we have decided that you will soon be able to buy only 1 additional cashout request at a price to be determined, most likely greater than $100. Again, this is an option for those members who wish to have it, details will be clarified soon.
3. We will update all of you on the results of the referral contest and pay all winners.
4. All activation problems will be fixed from our tech staff. We have explained here how you can fix any activation issues: http://compactforum.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=326
5. Free members will soon be able to add only one site which will prevent adding web sites that breaks our terms and also ease the burden of website approval on our staff.
If CS is your favorite auto surf (as we hope it is by now)you can also register in our network forum: http://www.compactforum.com
There you can discuss with other members your personal opinion and suggestions on how to improve our network."
Just some good little tidbits in there. I like the idea of the pay extra for a fourth cashout. Big players can get their extra cashout, and Compact gets some revenue back.
Now I've been talking about Autosurfs but remember if you want something long term and real, that isn't just a chance for quick dollops of cash check out...
Fx-Experts
FX-Experts has had a little niggle in the past few days - Marcos couldn't get his Accsent Pin for E-Gold! It wasn't long before the community sprung forth rumours that his E-Gold account had been hacked, amongst other things.
But never fear ladies and gents, as in his original post, Marcos was just looking for some help to get his PIN. Helpful members of the community have jumped in to help avoid this problem for the future. Should be completely resolved soon.
NS-FG
The returns were 3.06% for the month for the pool. Still positive, and the reasons for the low percentile were well explained. I am still very much glad I am in this program! Long live NS-FG.
Anyone in Feeder Fund will be able to get into NSFG through that soon, and there is a pool at Gold-Horizons. I'm sure other places will pop up soon.
There's a big rumour circulating that Feeder Fund will reopen for new members soon. The goss is it will be invite only though. I'm sure many people (including myself!) will oblige though! :)
Down To Business
I got my first payout from Down To Business. As I said, I have been privy to some info from TJ, and am impressed so far. This is the closest I've seen to a high percentile program apparently backed by something REAL!
Here's the latest food for thought from TJ. He's nothing if not honest:
(Remember to put 00 in the memo of your E-Gold spend guys!)
"As a part of transparency, let me share this insight with you.
I dont know if you guys think about this, but it has certainly popped in my mind more than once.
If my partner can generate such a high ROI, why not just borrow from the bank where the interest rate is much much smaller than d2b's ROI..
Well, my partner refuses to answer.
But i have my own theories:
1) I know he already has made a lot of loans to build his company... maybe his credit limit has been exhausted.
2) You can't tell the bank manager.. "by the way, please only lend me money that you can afford to lose"? (risk)
Well, as part of my continued transparency, i have shared with you guys this bit of thought.
Well, he won't tell me why but like i said, it might be one of the two.
He has a legit business though and the question whether he can generate such profit is possible is out of the question. However, dealing with a bank would actually afford him to keep more profits, right? Anyway, mystery or no mystery, down to business is generating a good track record...
sent rabbit some stuff to look at and hopefully we'd see his report tomorrow. Anyway, business goes on. Your money is hard at work."
So that's a big day of updates done, we're all caught up now. I update a lot, as you guys may have noticed, so keep coming back!
