Alientrust Continues To Kick Ass
Some more well-written juicy updates from the land of Alientrust. They definitely appear to be solidifying and digging in for the long haul - or at least they are telling us they are! Here too is an explanation to the lessor amount of sites temporarily needed to surf, in line with my prediction that they were lightening loads on the servers for a short while.
Enjoy, and if you’re not a member of Alientrust yet, remember how much 12DP has kicked ass and how Alientrust is following in those footsteps if not surpassing them and being even more professional.
“Hey Everyone,
Sorry things have been so hectic these past couple of days, Brian was on vacation, and I had some pressing family issues to deal with, but we’re now back to it.
Let me give you all the latest updates.
We had switched over the program parameters so lighten the load on the server so many people were able to surf only one site to earn for several days, plus we lowered the max site and the timer. The server load is now back to normal and so are the program settings, 15 sites - 15 seconds and 40 daily max surf.
As for the servers - the deal with RackSpace is complete! We willl be moving the company over to RackSpace within the next week. Fo those of you who aren’t familiar with RackSpace, they are hands down the best Dedicated Hosting provider in the world and have had a steller record since they began business about 5 years ago.
They have had 100% uptime on their network for the past 48 months straight! Now that’s a guarantee! Incredible company and we’re very proud to be part of the RackSpace family.
Our new package includes a Cisco firewall, Cisco Load Balancer, 3(ea) 3.2Ghz Dual Xeon Dell web servers, and a Dual Xeon Dell database server. Plus the Linux Red Label Service Package which gives us a complete team of engineers at RackSpace to help us manage our business.
Folks this new server package will cost us over 90,000.00 a year and we WILL have the finest infrastructure of anyone in the industry. The package also includes PrevenTier DDOS Protection and Cisco IDS Intrusion Detection System to help protect your accounts from mailicious activity!
Guys we’re sparing no expense to ensure the long term success of AT and we look forward to serving you for years to come.
Once again, if you have any issues please ensure you’re using the Support Button in the Control Panel to contact us as the phone system will be down until we get moved into the office in February. DO NOT fax in support requests as they will go un-answered.
We’re still looking for a programmer willing to relocate, if anyone knows anyone interested in this position please have them remit their resume via fax or email, we need to fill this quickly and I’d rather NOT have to hire a headhunter, but if we don’t get someone within the next week, we’ll be forced to go that route.
Hopefully everyone is having a great weekend and we look forward to a great week this week.
Once the new servers come online this week, we’ll let everyone know what the downtime schedule will be for the move to RackSpace.
Thanks everyone and I look forward to speaking with you again soon.
V”
