Updates - 4th March 2006
Well, today we have a little digest of autosurf updates.
BlackGold-Surf
Well, there's some changes afoot here to reflect the current state of the industry. First, an email was sent out to inform members that referral commissions would end and the rate of return would lower... fair enough, enhances the longevity of the program.
Now, the site is down with a message telling us some more changes are being implemented to the program to make it 'legal' and sustainable.
An email has been sent out with a link to their forum. So you can now keep abreast of the news and check the latest updates!
Phoenix Surf
These guys keep getting more and more support from me. I love them - you in? Why not! The first payouts have started promptly and as of now everyone is very happy.
Here's the main fresh update:
"Dear Phoenixsurf members,
I am sure the question on everyone's mind is this: Why are so many autosurf companies folding, and why is Phoenixsurf still alive and well? This e-mail will give some explanation to the continued success of PS.
Legal Counsel
Over the past week we have been compiling data and running over compliance options with our attorneys. Fortunately, appropriate legal counsel had been obtained prior to the launch of PS, making our task much easier. In addition, Jonathan Mikula has returned from his trip to Austin and has brought back important information regarding necessary additions to our program. Over the next two weeks, you will see us add many important enhancements to PS to ensure the longevity of the program and the long-term success of our membership base.
Infrastructure
Our infrastructure and highly specialized staff has once again proven its value. Between our support staff, legal staff, programming staff, consulting staff, and management team we have conquered numerous scripting errors, various compliance issues, answered thousands of support tickets, and sustained our high level of growth. We did not purchase a script for $300, hire our next door neighbor as our sole staff member, and hope for the best. Once again, business is all about infrastructure and foundations and we have established both.
Manual surf
Effective as of March 4 at 12:00 am, Phoenixsurf will officially be a manual surf program. We are doing this for two main reasons:
1. To increase the value of our advertising. PS is a traffic exchange program and we are driven by advertising revenue. If advertisers know that viewers MUST watch their ads, we can sell advertising space at a premium. It is a well known fact that many autosurfers never really watched the ads they were being paid to view. We will help our members to re-establish the true meaning of a "traffic exchange" program. The increased advertising revenue will help to ensure the longevity of our program.
2. The SEC appears to be extremely concerned that people were being paid to "click a button and walk away". By making PS manual surf, we will remove this objection.
It is also important to note that the surfbar will still be run on a 15 second rotation timer. This means members will not necessarily have to spend more time providing their service to PS, but every ad will in fact be viewed. When the timer hits "0", simply click on "Next Site" to view the next site in the PS rotation. Once you view 15, you will be paid like normal.
Updates
Once again, stay tuned for updates over the next two weeks. We are being proactive in seeking compliance with the powers the be to protect ourselves and our membership base.
Regards,
Gabriel Frankewich"
Good stuff! Manual surf you say? Why, this adds value to advertisers and can even help prompt "legitimate" advertisers. A good thing for the industry. Sure, we may have to now spend five minutes of our day clicking a few buttons and actually paying attention to the ads, but I can live with that for longevity and the rate of return!
WiredSurf
Well, not much to say here... just felt like mentioning them again! Seeing as they are the other 'big gun' alongside PhoenixSurf in my mind.
12DailyPro is now under the control of a receiver... this should mean that funds are then redistrubted to us all, at least a percentage. Stormpay has been sending some more fearmongering emails, but I couldn't really give a stuff what those scammers have to say! It's been proven they are suffering a case of the 'full of its.'
Ciao y'all!
