Autosurf Updates - 11th May 2006

Total Rune

Total Rune continues to quickly edge itself into the arena of my ‘favourite autosurfs.’

I requested my first cashout this week and it happened promptly, within 24 hours. TotalRune is experiencing steady but not explosive growth which I think is great, and leave plenty of room to explode. They continue to be my quiet little engine that could.

Here’s some highlights from their latest round of updates (they actually are quiet communicative and send a fair few emails!)

- Cashout/Compounding Day is now Monday.
- There’s been some server issues which have made surfing excruciatingly slow. They are working on it and their suggestion is to try surfing later in the day (which is fair enough because most people - myself included unfortunately! - always seem to want to log in to surfs and surf immediately after the day change-over, which floods the server.)

Here’s an update in relation to the slowness:

“Over the last 2 weeks we have been experiencing unusual hacking attempts, activities and exploit attempts. Simply put we have disabled and even deleted the websites we host causing the problems.

The scripts that Total Rune and Instant Money Flow use were put into a position that caused them to lag bad. We have since found the problems and IP’s associated with the problems. Over the next week you may still find some hang up time while surfing your sites. We are changing the way the scripts are set up, installing newer security modules and changing some hardware on the servers we run.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Shaun ”

A cool tidbit on cashouts, which I’m sure will entice a lot of people:

“Until further notice the Cashout Butoon will be OPEN at ALL TIMES.

You can request a cashout anytime you meet the minimum
balance, and it has been 7 days in between your last cashout request.
Until further notice Compounding will be open on Mondays for 24 Hrs. like it was this week.”

Total-Rune also experinced an E-Gold problem where the wrong amount (i.e. MORE) adpacks were being bought for the wrong amount of E-Gold (e.g. Someone buys 10 adpacks, gets 15.) E-Gold is back open now and the problem should be fixed.

WiredSurf

They're meant to be back up now. They are back up for me but they are still doing it bit by bit so you may not see your account reflecting everything correctly yet. Give them a little time to sort these things out.

Here's the official buzz from their forum:

"Now that our site is back (YAY!!!), we have to work together to get things back on track. Here is what we need each member to do: If you are missing a payment, such as an Insta Pay or regular payment that is due, please submit a ticket and include ALL of the following: Your username The amount you are due Your e-gold account number If you were paid previously when our site was up and down but you are missing a portion of your payment because a surf day wasn’t credited before we paid you, please contact us via the help desk and let us know the amount you are missing along with your egold account number. If you are waiting on an Insta Pay payment but see an incorrect amount pending, please let us know immediately, before your payment is sent out. You will not be charged for using Insta-Pay for this week. If you have an account where your days have not yet been credited PLEASE do not submit a ticket at this time. We will be mass crediting users all day, so please give it 24 hours to see the update in your account. If you are still missing surf days after tomorrow morning, please submit a ticket at that time indicating the exact days you are missing. We will NOT restore the surf bar until Monday. This gives us time to ensure that our site will function properly, therefore you will be credited for all surf days from May 1st through until May 7th (in advance). You will be able to surf again on Monday morning (server time). Please follow the instructions above to ensure that there are no delays in restoring your account through inaccurate or missing information. If you follow the instructions and include all information that is needed, we will get your account fixed even faster."

PhoenixSurf

Phoenix paid me for a 28th of April non-fasttrack expiry, yesterday. I remain in with test spends now, but the compulsory debit card and their attitude has turned me off, amongst many other things that I won't harp on about lest I sound like a broken record (seeing as I've mentioned them many times previously.)

They're also victim of a new attack. Here's the goss:

"Dear Phoenixsurf Members,

This is very important! There are emails going around stating that it is from us and the content of emails looks like below:

"Dear 'member's name here',

Due to the several cases of hacked Phoenixsurf accounts, our team has implemented a few additional security measures, aiming to improve the safety of our members.
Apart from the IP detection routine that is currently active on our server, we have decided to request a manual confirmation of each upgrade, larger than 1000USD, that is done through our system. Our records indicate that you have one pending payout, based on upgrade, eligible for confirmation:

ID: 12345

Expired on: 2006-05-01

Amount: $1234.56

You will have to manually confirm that you, the legit owner of the account, have done this upgrade. Please download the attached form, unzip it (it is a self-extracting WinZIP archive) and fill it out to authenticate yourself as the genuine user of the account. Failure to accomplish that will result in the upgrade funds being REFUNDED to your e-gold account on record, without the 15% daily commission and any referral commissions for the upgrade period. Thank you for your cooperation and for being a part of the Phoenix community.

Regards,

The Phoenixsurf.com Team"

Name of the Attached file look like this:
"upgrade_confirmation_form.exe"

Please DELETE this email immediately! This email is not from us and it is completely false."
